The integrated 1A Active Balancer transfers energy between cells to reduce voltage differences and improve cell consistency, usable capacity and long-term battery performance.
Advanced Inverter Communication
The PB1A16S10P supports CAN, RS485 and RS232 communication. According to the JK documentation:
CAN — for communication with compatible inverters
RS485-1 — inverter communication and configuration
RS485-2 — parallel battery communication and host-computer communication
RS232 — PC/host communication
Bluetooth — mobile APP monitoring and configuration
The BMS allows selection of the appropriate inverter communication protocol through the JK APP, depending on the connected inverter.
Parallel Battery Expansion — Up to 10 Batteries
The JK PB Series supports parallel battery operation. Up to 10 batteries can be configured in parallel for a larger energy-storage system, provided the batteries, BMS configuration, inverter and installation are correctly matched.
For parallel operation, each BMS needs a unique communication address. JK documentation specifies address settings through the DIP switches, with the master assigned address 0 and additional batteries assigned different slave addresses.
For a 10-battery parallel system:
24V 200Ah × 10 = 24V 2000Ah
and the nominal combined energy would be approximately:
5.12kWh × 10 = 51.2kWh
Actual usable energy and output depend on BMS settings, inverter limitations, wiring, battery matching and installation design.
Smart Bluetooth Monitoring
The JK BMS supports Bluetooth APP monitoring, allowing users to view important battery information including cell voltage, total voltage, current, temperature, SOC, balancing status and protection alarms.
Comprehensive Battery Protection
The BMS provides protection against:
Overcharge
Over-Discharge
Overcurrent

Inverter Communication
The JK-PB1A16S10P is an Inverter BMS, not just a basic protection BMS. Its communication interfaces allow it to exchange battery information with compatible inverter systems.
Supported interfaces include:
CAN + RS485 + RS232 + Bluetooth
The BMS supports selectable inverter communication protocols through the JK APP. This allows the installer to configure the BMS according to the compatible inverter protocol rather than relying only on basic voltage-based operation.
Important: Inverter communication is dependent on the inverter's supported protocol, communication port, cable/pinout and correct BMS settings. It is therefore better to describe the battery as compatible with supported inverter brands/protocols, rather than claiming compatibility with every inverter.
Parallel Battery System
The JK PB BMS provides dedicated communication for parallel battery systems. Multiple batteries can be connected together and monitored through the RS485 parallel communication interface. Each BMS must have a unique address for proper communication.
Example: 10 Batteries in Parallel
1 Battery: 24V 200Ah = 5.12kWh
5 Batteries: 24V 1000Ah = 25.6kWh
10 Batteries: 24V 2000Ah = 51.2kWh
This makes the battery suitable for large residential, commercial and industrial energy-storage systems when the inverter and installation are designed for the required capacity.
Backup Time
Approximate practical backup at different loads:
Load Approx. Backup
500W 8–9 Hours
1000W 4–4.5 Hours
1500W 2.7–3 Hours
2000W 2–2.3 Hours
Actual backup depends on inverter efficiency, battery operating limits, temperature, wiring losses and actual appliance consumption.
